There isn’t much to say today except to congratulate Spain on an amazing display in the Euro 2012 final last night.
After taking accusations of being boring the Spanish came on fighting and put four easy goals past the Italian keeper. To me, the Italians seemed a bit lost as they faced Spain’s possession-play and they didn’t look like they had an answer to any of Spain’s goals.
Unsurprisingly, there was a fair bit of celebration after the game. Drums, horns, fireworks and a chorus of “Campeones!” rung out around San Pedro until the early hours. The Spanish love a celebration!
There isn’t much else about Spain in the news today, besides the doom-and-gloom of the bailout. I’m tired of writing about that though. It’s all depressing and it’s pretty much the same every day.
So, today is a bailout-free day 😉
Well done Spain – Campeones!
