Sierra Nevada – Ski in Spain

Sitting just behind Marbella in Granada are the Sierra Nevada mountains – stretching up to 3478m (11,411ft) above sea level – the highest point in Spain.

The resort is a popular tourist destination and is well known as one of Europe’s most southerly ski resorts, despite sitting on the Mediterranean coast – an area usually known for it’s sunny weather.

If you like skiing and sun  there there aren’t many places like Sierra Nevada. It’s one of the only ski-resorts worldwide where you can ski in the morning and sun bathe on the beach in the afternoon!

The ski season officially begins on November 26th and snow is expected to fall this coming weekend.  See Sierra Nevada in the video below.
