The two new roads, built to improve connections between Malaga city and the Costa del Sol, are expected to open later this month.
Phase 2 of Malaga’s new ringroad will open to the public on October 27. It will take traffic from Torremolinos to Alhaurin el Grande and Churriana. It also connects to the A-357 (Guadalhorce Motorway) making the trip from the coast inland towards Cartama much quicker.
Las Pedrizas toll motorway from Malaga to Antequera (AP-46) will open on October 28. The AP-46 will connect Malaga City to Las Pedrizas reducing the journey time by half to 15 minutes. Neither of the new roads are likely to be officially inaugurated due to the general elections due in November.
