Outdoor living in Spain

Spain is famous for it’s weather and this is the reason why people purchasing a property in Spain often look for homes with outside space, like balconies or terraces, to make the most of the Spanish weather.

Savills International and HomeAway.co.uk recently conducted a survey which revealed that air conditioning and access to a swimming pool – either private or shared – are also features that buyers look for when purchasing an overseas property.

Top of the list of requirements for UK buyers was the property’s location in relation to amenities like restaurants and shops while being in easy reach of the airport was also popular.

The reports author Rebecca Gill commented: “Strong underlying “lifestyle demand” for a property helps support an investment case. It is these fundamentals that drive longer term capital appreciation and attract rental income.”

Spanish Hot Properties recently noted that people looking for an investment or second home will consider different factors to those planning to retire in the country.

The suggestion is that those in the latter demographic are more likely to want to be within easy reach of good healthcare facilities, for example.
