New research released this week has revealed that Spain remains as one of the most popular nations for British people looking for a property abroad.
Overseas mortgage specialist Conti say they registered a 7% rise in Spanish real-estate enquiries during August, compared to August 2010, with Spain accounting for 31% of all overseas property queries received.
The only country with more interest from Brits was France.
Operations director at Conti, Clare Nessling, said: “Spain is definitely making a comeback, experiencing a particularly busy August.”
She also added that this could be caused simply by those returning from holidays in Spain who have been inspired to look for their own holiday home.
Developer Taylor Wimpey de España announced earlier this month that it has experienced a 70% increase in enquiries about Spanish real-estate during the first half of this year compared to the first six months of 2010.
